Welcome to Northwest Elementary PTO

We strive to give the best for Northwest!

The Northwest Elementary PTO is an all-inclusive volunteer organization whose primary purpose is to support the students, teachers and staff at Northwest Elementary School. This support is provided solely by the volunteered time, talents and/or monetary donations of members, non-members and grants. Our mission is to foster an environment that brings together school, family and community for our children. We provide a way for families to become more involved in the school and opportunities to meet school staff and other Northwest families.

What we do

  • Host special events and fundraisers during the year including: Back to School Night, Jag Jog, Game Nights, Fundraisers, Family Fun Night and more
  • Plan Teacher Appreciation Week and Conference Meals
  • Purchase books, technology, resources, materials and equipment for students, teachers and their classrooms
  • Offer School Supply Kits
  • Sell Spirit Wear

Who we are

The Northwest PTO is comprised of parent volunteers, NW Elementary school teachers and principal.

  • Provide the teachers, support staff and students with programs, events and materials that enhance the curriculum and encourage school spirit.

Q. What happens at meetings?
A. Our PTO meetings are open to anyone who has a child at Northwest.  We strive to include all parents/guardians who wish to be involved.  During our meetings, every voice is heard, and every opinion is taken into account. We discuss many topics at our meetings, including special events and fundraising.  We take feedback about events into consideration and try our best to come up with ideas that will benefit our students, parents, faculty and staff, as well as meet district guidelines.
You can read our bylaws here:  nw_pto_bylaws.pdf

Q. If I cannot attend a meeting, can I still be involved?
A. Most definitely!! Contact us through the website, any one of our members, or your child's teacher.  We appreciate all the help we can get!

Q. Can I bring my children to a PTO meeting?
A.  Of course! We create an area for the kids to hang out with each other while we meet.  We do recommend they bring a book, coloring supplies, etc to help keep them busy.
